First off, I doubt we'll be banning anyone anytime soon, but don't try to prove me wrong. If I shoot your warning level straight up to 99 or anything bellow 50, it probably just means you annoy the hell out of my and I like to have fun with my admin powers.

Second, the RP is rated R. If you can't deal with that, best not to bother. We've gone way too far to change that now. Keep this in mind when a robot master feeds someone their own intestines while dropping an F-bomb.

Now, the actual rules:

1: Protoman is dead. You are not Protoman. Protoman didn't punch you in the face. You did not see Protoman hanging out in the break room of Wily's fortress. Protoman is dead.

2: Megaman and Light are gone. We don't know where. And niether do you. For all we know, Light could have done himself in after Mega's battle, or he could be building X. (He did neither, don't get any ideas.) And Mega could be hanging out on top of Everest, or "training" to take on Wily again. Until Act III, we don't know. Don't claim that you do.

3: Don't play The Protomen. They're mysterious for a reason.

4: Gnavin is Wily. Everyone else can write as him maybe some times.

5: Robots: This required further discussion, as saying "no more robots" yet again just makes 50% of us hypocrites. (In other words, all of the mods.)

6: No over powered characters. Our two strongest characters couldn't take a robot master alone. And one was a cyborg. Which reminds me...

7: PLEASE no more cybernetics. They're supposed to be rare or shitty in the ProtoRP universe. >_<

8: No shock value for the sake of shock value. Yes, our universe is dark and gritty. Doesn't mean you have to make it darker and grittier for no damn reason. If you're going to do something horrible, have a reason for it. That means no more endless rape. And if you must put a character through hell, at least get some development out of it.

9: If you absolutely insist on breaking that last one, don't use someone else's character without permission! Hell, even if you aren't breaking a rule with them, get permission before you do anything with a character that isn't yours. Alternate universe or not. If you do it well enough that no one notices or complains, fine, you'll get away with it. But try your hardest to avoid it.

And I think that is a good way to handling dark and gritty stuff myself. I was worried with the various discussing that it would be removed or not allowed from further on. However yeah, doing it just for the sake of it isn't good.

Can we add one about not roleplaying the band members themselves? Not that we've ever run into that particular problem, but just in case we ever do, with new people. I mean, I know women want Panther and men want to be Panther, but, just, no, please. Seeing as how they're actual, real people, I consider this an issue of respect for the band, and would consider roleplaying them vaguely creepy to be honest.

We were discussing some things this weekend and would like to add a disclaimer that we are in no way affiliated with The Protomen, that nothing we write should reflect upon their works, that we're pretty much writing a long interactive fanfic here, etc.
